How it Works

  1. Jumper lies on the mat.
  2. He or she then arches their back, pressing the feet and the shoulders down while lifting up with the hips.

Coaching Tips

  • Once the jumper has mastered arching their back with feet and shoulders on the mat, they should go to arching their back with feet and hands on the mat. After that, they should try to bring their feet and hands together to create a jackknife position.
